Mk. 3 Ford Escort 4x4 Conversion
This Mk. 3 Escort has taken many forms in its previous life, originally built using a Mk. 2 Escort suspension setup with a linked rear axle and various powerplants including Cosworths, BDA’s and recently a Warrior race engine.
We have just finished converting the Mk. 3 from a very tired and battered Escort floorpan to full Sierra running gear. The inner wings, bulkhead and front half floor pans are all from a 4x4 donor sierra Sapphire Cosworth. The rear axle mountings have been fabricated from scratch, retaining most of the rear Escort floorpan.
The car will be returning in spring 2010 for a full roll cage installation.
If you have any queries regarding this conversion, or any other chassis fabrication please use our contact page.
